Today´s energy booster: Purple Morning Energy Smoothie
Of course, Everybody knows it :)
Fluid intake is a key important thing of your day.
Your whole body and mind will be thankful if you pay attention on your healthy fluid intake.
What is good for your body?
I suggest that your main intake source should be water (80%). An average adult human body is 55-65% water, so you need to take care to keep it always hydrated.
The rest could be differrent alternative drinks which don´t contain sugar, additive;s, flavours, colours, preservatives, etc.

Choose from tea (use different types during the week), herbal drinks (take care of the quantity and quality), freshly pressed juices and shakes.
The quantity depends on the age, physical activity, temperature.
For an adult who doesn´t do physical activity and is living a balanced life, should drink about 40-45ml/kg.
I normally drink more, because of my trainings and during the summer the temperature can be very high in South Australia, so instead of my basic 1.9l/day, i drink usually 2.5-3.5l/day.
What about coffee?
My opinion is that coffee has many positive health effects for your body (I will write about this in a next article), so you should not avoid having this delicious drink :)
If you don´t like it black, just add some plant based milk (or lactose free milk) and some days surprise yourself or your beloved one with a special hot drink with honey, cinnamon, coconut milk and a bit of dark chocolate.
As an alternative drink, I usually prepare a smoothie or shake from seasonal veggies and fruits.
One day this was our morning drink :)

Yes, sometimes some fresh veggies create a feeling like that but you can always control the quantities and avoid the strong ¨soil¨ taste :) ... and don´t worry, it is natural and your body will thank you for that ;)
I bought the veggies in the morning local market, so i could not wait to use them immediately :)

When you start inserting these natural drinks in your everyday your body will love it and soon you will feel yourself more energetic.
Just give time for your body and mind!
Purple morning energy smoothie (for about 6 dl) - source of fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (i just mention the main ones below)
1 beetroot (peeled) - great source of fiber, folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron, vitamin C
1 carrot (peeled) - vitamin A (from beta-carotene), biotin, vitamin K, potassium, vitamin B6
Small piece of cucumber - great source of fiber, manganese, potassium, vitamin K, vitamin C
2 apples - great source of fiber, vitamin C, potassium
1 lemon (squeezed) - great source of fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B6, potassium
1 orange (peeled) - great source of fiber, vitamin C, vitamin A, magnesium, calcium
Small piece of ginger (peeled) - strong antibacterial effect, vitamin B6, magnesium, vitamin C, iron
2 tablespoon shredded coconut - great source of fiber and healthy fat, manganese, selenium, potassium, iron, zinc, vitamin C
0.5 teaspoon cinnamon - great source of fiber, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin C, vitamin B, vitamin A
4 dl water
Put all the ingredients in your mixer or shaker and press ON.
Now, you just have to enjoy it and feel the natural energies :)

I always keep the remainders, peels then I use it in the garden as compost which makes your soil fresh, healthy too.
